Der Ma Peel

Particle Skin Resurfacing (PSR), also called microdermabrasion, is a unique way to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin in less then an hour with little or no recovery time. This procedure focuses primarily on the color and textural changes of your skin, having both short and long term benefits. It is safe and virtually painless but leaves your skin soft and radiant. Generally, most skin types will improve with particle skin resurfacing.

How does it work?

PSR is a mechanical exfoliative process whereby fine inert crystals emanating from a tubular pressurized hand piece are gently projected across the surface of your skin. The crystals painlessly abrade the upper epidermis and remove stratum corneum that has created textural irregularities thereby buffing and smoothing the surface of your skin. In addition to making your skin more penetrable to agents used to even color and tone, this procedure has been shown to stimulate collagen and elastin production after multiple treatments. Face, neck, chest and hands may be effectively treated by PSR.

What are the immediate results of PSR?

This procedure is particularly effective in the treatment of:

  • uneven texture
  • dull, sallow skin
  • clogged enlarged pores

Following PSR your skin will appear radiant and feel soft but firm. Make up will glide smoothly over your skin without collecting on the rough irregularities that have been cleared from your complexion. In fact, many patients will have PSR the day before a big event.

What can you expect with repeated treatments?

Best results are obtained with a series of treatments performed at regular intervals:

  • softening of fine lines
  • improvement of acne
  • diminution of mild acne scarring
  • removal of pigment irregularities such as melasma
  • improvement of skin tone restoring your skin’s natural glow
